This is a fantastic and rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Commis Chef to join a brigade of 20 talented chefs who are responsible for creating innovative, nutritious food that is healthy and tastes great.
You will be expected to produce a wide range of food styles. Our client only uses quality fresh produce and most of the food is prepared in-house including ice creams, desserts, sorbets, breads, stocks and sauces.
You’ll be working in a professional environment where you’ll be given guidance and support to help you improve your skills in all sections of the kitchen preparing you for your next step in your career in catering.
Your main duties will be:
To produce the highest standard of international cuisine for approximately 240 buffet lunches 200 table d’hote evening meals.
To contribute to menu and recipe development.
To liaise with Senior Chefs regarding ordering for various dishes and sections.
To deal with any special dietary requirements (training will be given).
Hours of work are a total of 39 per week on a rota basis. Shifts are between the hours of 6.30am and 10pm, 5 days from 7.
Applicants must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
