Excitingly, we are looking for an experienced and passionate food production professional, who will report directly to our Food Hall management team. Our Catering Assistant will be responsible for the design and production of Fortnum’s lunchtime fare – from sandwiches and freshly made pastas to our famous scotch eggs, and gourmet pies. Our Catering Assistant will achieve the efficient production of safe, consistent and high quality food, providing an exceptional dining experience to our guests.
Further requirements of this role are to;
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
• Responsibility for food safety within their department
• Departmental administration
• Helping to oversee business events, both internally and externally
• Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Our successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, and will thrive in both a culinary and team environment. Further to this, they will possess high calibre interpersonal and problem solving skills, and will be highly responsible and reliable. This is a fast paced role, so demonstrated experience working in a high-pressure environment will be favoured greatly.
